Charles C. Cox Age 94, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away on November 10, 2015. He was born December 1, 1920 in Farmington Township, Michigan; son of Josiah and Shirley (nee Ulmer) Cox. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Charles attended the University of Michigan and was a dedicated fan. He worked in the sales department for Lear Siegler and then US Manufacturing; retiring in the mid 1990's. Charles was united in marriage to Judy A. Tremonti on June 27, 1997; spending many loving years together until his death. He was devoted to attending Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Judy. Charles was a 50 year member of both the Masonic Lodge and the Detroit Shriners. He was also a member of the American Legion. Charles was an avid golfer; one of his most memorable golfing moments was when he played with Bobby Jones and Sam Sneed. He enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of the Detroit based teams. Charles also enjoyed playing volleyball and softball at the Northville Recreation Center. Charles is survived by his wife Judy; his daughter Rev. Dr. Shirley Cox; his brother James (Dorothy) Cox; his grandsons Kevin Cox and Patrick Cox; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Anne Gochis, his son Donald Cox, and his brother William Cox. A memorial service will be held a later date. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to a charity of the giver's choice.
