Joseph Junior St. ThomasAge 88, a longtime resident of Canton, passed away on December 20, 2015. He was born February 26, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Joseph and Thelma (nee Blackburn) St. Thomas. After high school he proudly served with the United States Merchant Marines during World War II. Joseph spent over 38 years as a Tool and Die maker for Ford Automotive Company; he retired in 1986. He was united in marriage to Charlene Mailloux on November 14, 2000 and was a very loving and caring husband.Joseph was a Scout Master when his sons were younger and was a Master Mason with the Garden City Masonic Lodge #587. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He liked to play bingo and was an avid sports fan. He was a well-liked and generous friend, a dependable father, and a devoted husband. Joseph only wanted the best for his wife and family.Joseph is survived by his wife Charlene St. Thomas; his children, Bill (Bonnie) St. Thomas, Rodney (Beverly) St. Thomas, and Cindy St. Thomas; his brother Lester St. Thomas; his step-daughter Sheila Ficca; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Doris Papworth and his brother Richard St. Thomas. Private family services will be held.
