Nancy A. Liddell

Nancy A. Liddell, age 83, longtime resident of Northville passed away January 7, 2016. She was born September 30, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; daughter of Joseph and Ann (nee Hladysh) Raczkowski. While attending nursing school Nancy was introduced to Thomas Liddell by her friend Dorothy, who happened to be his cousin. They were united in marriage on November 12, 1955; she and her husband renewed their wedding vows for their 25th wedding anniversary and again in Canaan during a trip to Jerusalem. Nancy was blessed with a doting husband for 58 years, until his death in 2013. Nancy worked as a Registered Nurse for many years; her true calling was in Labor and Delivery, she loved taking care of the babies. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory, often volunteering for funeral luncheons. Nancy was a wonderful cook and baker; she made delicious fruit cakes and pies especially around the holidays. She was very active and enjoyed swimming, walking, and socializing at the health club where she belonged. Nancy and her husband travelled extensively throughout Europe; among her favorite places to visit were Spain, Morocco, and Portugal. Nancy cherished her family and loved having them close by; she especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was generous and kind; she would do anything for her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her children, Karen (David) Bilyk, John (Linda) Liddell, Tom Liddell, Jeff (Michelle) Liddell, Steve Liddell, and Mike Liddell; her grandchildren, Julie Bilyk, Brian (Katti) Bilyk, Joshua Liddell, Michael Liddell, Betsy Liddell, Katie Liddell, Shannon Liddell, Kevin Liddell, Alexander Liddell, Torrin (Chelsea) Liddell, Moiranda Liddell, Aiden Liddell, and Owen Liddell; her great grandchildren, Ella, Carter, and Cora; her siblings, Donald (Karen) Raczkowski and Kathy (Ron) Samul. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her daughter-in-law, Kristen Liddell; her granddaughter, Michaela Liddell; and her sister, Virginia.Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., in state beginning at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Dr., Northville.
