Karen L. Riebling, age 61, of South Lyon, formerly of Northville passed away February 12, 2016. She was born October 19, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Richard and Doris (nee Guoin) Edmark. She graduated from St. Rita Catholic School in Detroit in 1973. Karen was united in marriage to Paul Riebling on July 12, 1974; they spent 33 loving years together until his death in 2008.Karen was a devoted homemaker for most of her life, most recently she had been working doing embroidery. She was a member of Travelling Logs Camping Club and enjoyed the time she spent camping with the club in Southeast Michigan. Karen also enjoyed vacationing at the family cabin up north. She was very artistic; and also liked crafting and listening to music. Karen was a social butterfly; she was very outgoing and loved spending time with her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the time they spent together.Karen is survived by her loving children, Kate (Erik) Goerke and Andrew (Amanda) Riebling; her grandchildren, Joseph and Kaia; her sister Sharon Edmark; her brother-in-law, Kurt Riebling; and her sister-in-law, Fay Haney. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with a time of gathering beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W.
