Anthony Michael Ventura

Anthony Michael VenturaAge 76, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away on February 16, 2016. He was born May 5, 1939 in Highland Park, Michigan; son of Michael and Sara (nee Audia) Ventura. Anthony was united in marriage to Ethel Roech on November 21, 1964; spending almost 20 years devoted to each other until her death on February 17, 1984. Anthony proudly served in the United States Navy from 1957-1959; he was awarded a Purple Heart Medal during his service. He and Ethel made Northville their home in 1976. He worked as a Financial Specialist for Ford Motor Company for 32 years; retiring on April 1, 1998. Anthony enjoyed collecting baseball cards and memorabilia and shooting pool. He also liked going to car shows admiring antique cars and modern cars. On most Wednesday nights you would find him with a few friends playing poker which was a fun passion he had. He was a very kind, genuine and thoughtful father and grandfather. Anthony is survived by his sons, Michael Ventura, Vince Ventura, and Steve (Amy) Ventura; and his grandchildren, Tony and Francesca. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.Visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 from 4pm until 8pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:30pm with visitation beginning at 12:30pm at Northville Christian Assembly, 41355 Six Mile Road, Northville. Pastor Brooks McElhenny will officiate the service.
