Warren P. Fogarty

Warren P. FogartyAge 89, of Northville passed away February 17, 2016. He was born on March 22, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan; son of John Roy and Gertrude (nee Lecuyer) Fogarty. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Kirchoff on August 18, 1951; devoted to each other for over 64 years. They made Westland their home until moving to Northville in 2009.Warren proudly served in the United States Army from 1946-1947. He was a life member of the American Legion. He worked as a truck driver for West End Cartage for 30 years. Following his career as a truck driver he worked at Westland Golf Course and enjoyed playing golf. Warren was a very talented and generous handyman who would often be found helping friends at Allen Terrace in Northville. He liked to garden both floral and vegetable. Warren was a very loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.He is survived by his wife Rose Marie; his children, Patricia (Daniel) Overcash, John (Beth) Fogarty, Warren (Janis) Fogarty, Jr., Margaret (Andy Williams) Monticciolo, and Karen Fogarty; his grandchildren, Stephen, Michael O., Chelsea, Kali, Amy, Lisa, William, Paula, Michael M., Megan, Sara, and Rosalyn; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Fogarty, and his sister Jean Cordts.A memorial service to be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
