Jerry R. Travis

Jerry R. TravisAge 55, of Lexington, Michigan, passed away on March 16, 2016. He was born March 15, 1961 in Yale, Michigan; son of Clare Travis and Rosella (nee Quinn) Travis. He graduated from Cros-Lex High School in Croswell, Michigan; Class of 1979. Jerry worked as a horse trainer for over 30 years; he had a very strong work ethic and was a hard worker. He was one of the best trainers around and was always faithful to the horses and their owners. Jerry loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. He was an avid reader; his favorites were Old Westerns and he would often read a book a day. He enjoyed camping, campfires, and fishing. Jerry was a good hearted man; he loved life and cherished his friendships and family. Jerry is survived by his loving friend, Angela Travis; his children, Andy (Heather) Davis, Melissa (Andrew) Musetti, and Carrie Travis; his father Clare (Linda) Travis; his grandchildren, Drew Davis, Carter Davis, Christina LeGuyader, Anthony Betzoldt, and Caydon Travis; his great grandson, Jackson Griffith; and his siblings, Jon (Lisa) Travis, Jed (Donna) Travis, Janice (Kevin) Johnston, and Joel Travis.
