Michael S. "Misha" Hanna

July 12, 1994 — April 16, 2016

Michael S. “Misha” Hanna   Age 21, of Northville, passed away on April 16, 2016. He was born July 12, 1994 in Togliatti, Russia and moved to the US with his family in 1997.   Misha lived in Morton, IL until 2004 when his family moved to Northville.  He had an infectious smile and brown eyes that would light up any room he was in.  Misha was strong willed, kind, compassionate; especially to those less fortunate than himself and would readily insert himself into any situation where he felt someone was being mistreated.   Misha loved spending time with his family including his many cousins.  He was very active and had an adventurous spirit once jumping into an elevator and getting lost in a 20 story building when he was 2; he loved to be outdoors preferably shirtless.  He enjoyed playing basketball, travel soccer, disc golf, snowboarding, and skateboarding.  He was an avid reader who liked to read conspiracy theory books and series.  Misha enjoyed watching and talking about movies -- once picking up a movie conversation with his grandfather six months after the conversation started without missing a sentence.  He loved listening to music and writing rap songs, one of his favorite artists was Eminem.  He had a fondness for the Old English “D” and everything Detroit.  He also spent hours at a time playing Call of Duty and Halo with friends on Xbox.  Misha loved animals; he adored his dog Lilly and over the years raised many different types of reptiles, like bearded dragons, geckos, and snakes. He aspired to become a veterinarian.   Misha was the ultimate irrational man that expected the world to conform to him versus being conformed by the world.   Misha is survived by his loving parents, Rick and Jorja Hanna; his siblings, Steven “Sasha” Hanna and Ashley Mariya Hanna; his grandmother, Shirley Bogott; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Danny Bogott; his grandmother, Carol Jeanne Hanna; and his uncle Steve Hanna.   Misha may not have changed the world but he did change his parents, brother and sister and all that loved him and will forever be in their hearts!   A memorial service will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a time of gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Northville Christian Assembly of God, 41355 Six Mile Rd., Northville.  A luncheon will follow the service at Meadowbrook Country Club, 40941 8 Mile Rd., Northville.   In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Northville Christian School, 41355 Six Mile Rd., Northville, MI 48168 or Michigan Humane Society, 30300 Telegraph Rd., Ste. 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
