Karl Edward Stuef Age 70, a resident of Canton, passed away on July 14, 2016. He was born July 28, 1945 in Highland Park, Michigan; son of William and Anna (nee Hiller) Stuef. He was united in marriage to Carole J. Thomas on August 12, 1967; next month would have marked their 49th wedding anniversary. Together Karl and Carole raised their children in Riverview, later moving to Northville and then Canton. Karl earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Education Specialist degrees all from Eastern Michigan University. He began his career as a Special Education Teacher, became Principal, and ended his career in upper level administration. He retired in 2004 after 38 ½ dedicated years to the Dearborn Public Schools. Karl’s favorite hobby was Texas Hold’em; he had fun playing and studying the game. He also enjoyed swimming, boating, golfing, and bike riding. Karl was known to make family and friends laugh with his great personality. He was a very kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Karl is survived by his beloved wife Carole; his sons, Karl (Tanya) Stuef and Steve Stuef; his granddaughter Megan Stuef; and his siblings, Pat Simpson, Bill Stuef, Donald Stuef, and Mary Banfill. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private family service has been held.
