Martha Mulligan Skelton

Martha M. Skeltonm nee Mulligan December 6, 1940-July 23, 2016.   Age 75, of Palm Harbor, FL.  Martha was born to Carroll and Virginia Mulligan in Detroit and raised in Northville, Michigan.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Frank, and is survived by her sister Patricia (Thomas) O’Connell, and her brother David (Julie) Mulligan, and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.  She attended Mercy College in Detroit and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Sienna Heights College, Adrian, Michigan, and her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development from Nova University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.   Martha served as Executive Director of Community Pride Child Care in Clearwater for 30+ years.   Martha’s commitment to the children of Pinellas County was her highest priority.  Making a positive difference in the lives of the children under her care was her goal.  Martha had a great love for her pets.   Over the years, her many cats brought her joy.  She was very involved with the Golden Line Dancers and Little Theater, both in her community of Highland Lakes.   Her love of travel allowed her to enjoy many adventures.  She will be sadly missed by family and friends.   The visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  A committal service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W. 10 Mile Rd., Southfield.
