Christa K. Ravenna

Christa K. Ravenna, age 51, of Northville, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on October 1, 2016 from a traumatic head injury.   Christa was born January 24, 1965 in Toledo, Ohio; daughter of Thomas and Joan (nee Sacks) Elliott.  She graduated from Whitmer High School in Toledo, OH; Class of 1983.  She attended Ohio University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with a Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Specialized Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing Operations.   Christa was currently working for Batesville Casket Company as a Growth Market Sales Representative.  Prior to that she worked for Proctor and Gamble in Pharmaceutical and PET Sales and as a Sales Manager at various Hudson’s stores in Toledo and throughout the metro Detroit area.  Christa loved to travel; her adventurous spirit took her all over the world.  She enjoyed hiking, biking, and spending time with family and friends.  She adored animals, but especially her rescue Weimaraners; Coco, Bella, and Levi.  She was an incredibly genuine woman who was compassionate, supportive, empathetic, and generous.  Being the giving person she was Christa chose to be an organ donor; her generosity has helped the lives of several people.  It gives the family peace and comfort knowing that her legacy lives on.  Christa’s enthusiasm and smile were contagious; she had boundless energy and was always on the go.  She was so very loved and will be truly missed by her family and friends.                   Christa is survived by her mother, Joan Elliott; her siblings, Stephanie Scully, Thomas Elliott, Theresa Strach, and Mark (Bette) Elliott; her close friend Peter Ravenna; many nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to name.  She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Elliott; and her brother, Patrick Elliott.  The visitation will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 from Noon to 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W.
