Kevin R. Johnson

     Kevin Ray Johnson, age 58, of Northville, passed away on October 22, 2016. He was born June 18, 1958 in Flint, Michigan; son of Vernard and Constance (nee Gulvas) Johnson.  He graduated from Standish-Sterling High School; Class of 1976.  Kevin has been devoted to Sheila Towne for over 20 years.  He was a Transportation Engineer with Jack B. Anglin Company; previously working as a welder.        Kevin was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping and hunting; his favorite season was     bow hunting season. He enjoyed canoeing on the Rifle River with family. He also enjoyed playing softball on a few leagues with his friends. Kevin had a jovial spirit; always laughing and making others laugh as well. He was a dedicated, hardworking and loving companion, son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.       Kevin is survived by his beloved partner Sheila Towne; his mother Constance Johnson; his children, Jason Johnson, Dana Johnson, and Jonathan Johnson; Sheila’s children, Sarah (Joel) Elsesser, Bill Kemp, and Aaron Towne; his siblings, Jeffrey (Joann) Johnson, Karen (Paul) Little, Loretta (Phil) Fuller, and Jennifer (Mike) Protasiewicz; and his grandchildren, Gage and Triston Johnson, Arianna and Kyara Yacks, Hadley, Zachary, and Avery Elsesser, and Karoline Kemp. He was preceded in death by his father.        Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11am, with visitation beginning at 10am, at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Kathryn Ling from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church will officiate the service. He will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.        Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
