Alex Joseph Magyar Age 68 of Northville, a former longtime resident of Livonia, passed away on November 2, 2016. He was born October 1, 1948 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania; son of Alex A. and Irma (nee Intsvanik) Magyar. Alex was united in marriage to Mitzi L. Genore on February 3, 1973. Alex received his Bachelor Degree in Geography from Northern Michigan University. He worked at Norco in Troy for 25 years as a plant manager; he retired in 2008. Alex admired classic cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He looked forward to cooking with his wife and sitting down with the entire family for dinner. Alex liked to travel; his favorite place to visit was Las Vegas. While in Vegas they would rent a car and drive with no definitive plan. Alex had a good heart and was a very caring husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife Mitzi; his children, Alex B. (Christi) Magyar and Melissa Magyar; his mother Irma Magyar; his siblings, Joyce (Darrel) Vaught and Gary (Janelle) Magyar; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Ava, Maxwell, Jackson, and Hudson. He was preceded in death by his father. Private services held.
