Robert J. Bolley

Robert J. Bolley   Age 85 of Canton, a previous longtime resident of Dearborn Heights, passed away on November 15, 2016.  He was born June 14, 1931 in Dearborn, Michigan; son of Phillip and Denise (nee Lescheria) Bolley. Bob graduated from Fordson High School, Class of 1950. He was united in marriage to Joan Flowers on June 6, 1953; celebrating over 63 years of devotion to each other.    Bob worked for Comcast for over 20 years; retiring in 2006.  He was on the board of the homeowners association for his community; a position he held with integrity. Bob loved to golf and enjoyed playing in a league with his friends. In the winter he enjoyed the other Michigan sport, bowling. He liked to garden and was proud of the fruits of his labor. Bob was a handyman who could fix anything. He was a loving husband and a great father who adored his grandchildren. Bob was always there for his family.       He is survived by his loving wife Joan; his children, Rob (Debra) Bolley, Gary (Debbie) Bolley, and Susan (Mark Guleff) Bolley; his grandchildren, Nicole (Brad) Piontek, Jason (Tracey) Bolley, Brittany Bolley, Brad Bolley, and Izabella Guleff; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Avery, and Braxton; his sisters, Elda (Dr. George) Viscomi and Gloria (Chuck) Gronau; his sister-in-law Arlene (Ralph) Plucinski; and his brother-in-law Ron (Pam) Fair. He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter Brooke Bolley.   Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 2pm until 8pm with a vigil service beginning at 6:30pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A funeral mass will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:30am, instate at 10am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville. Father Denis Theroux will officiate the service. Following mass he will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.   Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
