Richard C. Grant

Richard C. Grant, age 86, a resident of Northville and a previous resident of Farmington Hills, passed away on March 7, 2017.  He was born on January 29, 1931; son of Raymond and Anna (nee Stone) Grant. Richard was a 1948 graduate of Catholic Central High School and graduated from University of Detroit Mercy in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science. He was united in marriage to Judith A. Donnelly on January 19, 1957; just celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Richard was a brewmaster with Stroh’s Brewery for 28 years. He was the past president of Master Brewers Association. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Richard is survived by his wife Judith; his children, Peter (Tammy) Grant, John (Dee) Grant, D.D.S., and Mary (Reade) Smith; his sisters, Mary Anne (David) Houser and Marcie (Bill) Fraser; and his grandchildren, Megan, Kristin, Cameron, Grant, Cullen, and Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers. Private family services held. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
