Beverly J. Clawson, age 80, of Northville, formerly of Gregory, passed away peacefully April 22, 2017. She was born September 10, 1936; daughter of William and MaryJane (nee Guiles) Capler. Beverly graduated from Dearborn High School; Class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Glenn R. Clawson on January 14, 1975; they spent 42 loving years devoted to one another. Beverly worked as an accountant for Prime Tube, Inc., retiring in 1998. Music was a significant part of Beverly’s life. She loved classical music; her favorite composer and pianist was Vladimir Horowitz. Beverly was an accomplished pianist and organist; she shared her talent by teaching both piano and organ for many years. She was well traveled; her most memorable vacations were a Virgin Island cruise and visiting Hawaii. Beverly enjoyed square dancing and playing cards, especially pinochle and poker. Beverly loved her family and cherished the memories they made, she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her beloved husband Glenn Clawson; her children, Mark (Sandee) Kenczyk, Steven (David Gleneski) Kenczyk, Kim (Randall McCure) Nice, Debbie Nicholson, Dale (Cherie) Clawson, and Suzanne (Andrew) Butler; her siblings, Cathy Riker, William (Marge) Capler, Jr., Thomas (Leslie) Capler, Sr., Gregory Capler, MaryJane (James) Giordano, and Ralph (Lori) Capler; her grandchildren, Beverly Brash, Paul Kenczyk, Lauren Kenczyk, Valerie (Michael) Delgado, Victoria (Matt) Melton, Jessica (Nathan) Estep, Melanie Clawson, Brittney Clawson, Trinity Clawson, and Olivia Beauchamp; and her great grandchildren, Orlando Delgado, Madelyn Delgado, and awaiting the birth of 3 more great grandchildren. Beverly was also loved by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Suzanne Johnson, her brother Kevin Capler, her son-in-law Dave Nicholson, her brother-in-law Robert Riker, and her brother-in-law Michael Tatti. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. Father Tom Belczak from St. Kenneth Church in Plymouth will officiate the service. Mrs. Clawson will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
