Mary Ellen Zokas

Mary Ellen Zokas, age 88, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away May 1, 2017.  She was born April 16, 1929 in Chelsea, Massachusetts; daughter of Orson and Mary Smith. Mary Ellen was united in marriage to Robert F. Zokas in 1950 and they were devoted to each other for 64 years.She was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1947 and in 1949 from The Vesper George School of Art in Boston Massachusetts.Mary Ellen took pride in her home and family, she was an accomplished painter and artist, she was fond of nature as well as a consummate gardener. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great Grandmother. She truly dedicated her life to family. Her legacy lives on through the teachings she instilled in her children, grandchildren and great grandchild, love, respect, and consideration to all.Mary Ellen is survived by her; children, Jeffrey R. Zokas (Karen S.) of Plymouth and Craig S. Zokas (Karen M.) of Northville, her grandson, Kyle, Granddaughters Erika (Corey Sims), Jessica (Josh Davis), Courtney (Ryan Smith) and her great Grandson Xander Sims.Private family services will be held at a later date.
