David M. Goss

David M. Goss   Age 61 of South Lyon, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2017.  He was born February 5, 1956 in Flint, Michigan; son of David Edwin and Georgina (nee Kahler) Goss. He was a graduate of Northville High School; Class of 1974. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 4 years. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Machille Pierson on July 6, 1985; dedicated to each other for almost 32 years.   Dave was a very hard worker and took pride in his job at Kern Industries in Novi, where he was a CNC Machinist for 30 years. He liked to tinker and fix things around the house. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, canoeing and grilling. Dave also enjoyed going up north to go snowmobiling and had fun bowling with his wife in a league. He was a longtime member of the Northville Eagles Club. Dave loved being with his family and was very devoted to them. He had a special bond with his granddaughters and adored spending time with them.      He is survived by his wife Machille Goss; his children, Rachel (Jesse) Turner and David Leo Goss; his parents David and Georgina Goss; his siblings, Lawrence (Dyana) Goss, Sandy (John) Vickers, Marty (Candy) Goss, and Stephen (Katie) Goss; and his granddaughters Charlotte “Charley” and Taylor Turner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.   Visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 1pm until 3pm with the service beginning at 3pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville.  Memorial contributions would be appreciated to a charity of the giver’s choice.
