Carole L. Oesterle

Carole L. Oesterle  Carole L. Oesterle, age 76, of New Hudson, formerly of Livonia and Northville, passed away on July 21, 2017.  She was born February 25, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Vincent and Margaret (nee Cook) Stuckey.  She graduated from Northville High School in 1959.  She continued her education at Cleary College and received a certificate for secretarial skills.  Carole was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Oesterle on November 24, 1962; they spent 54 loving years as husband and wife until his death on June 25, 2017.   Carole worked as a Library Clerk for Noble Public Library and Civic Center Libraries in Livonia and retired after many years of service.  She kept attractive gardens at her home and enjoyed flower arranging.  These arrangements often ended up at the homes and workplaces of friends and family.  Carole’s favorite flower was the pansy.  She also enjoyed clothes shopping and going out to dinner. Carole is survived by her loving daughter, Laura L. Oesterle; her sisters, Susan (Richard) Beaubien and Joyce (Phil) Presnell; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband (June 25, 2017) and her parents.                                                                                     The visitation will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 1:00 p.m until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  Mrs. Oesterle will be laid to rest next to her husband at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.               The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 48154 or Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum, 1800 N.
