Larry E. Bennett

Larry E. Bennett, age 76, of Jensen Beach, Florida, formerly of Northville, passed away on July 27, 2017.  He was born June 9, 1941 in Rankin, Illinois; son of Emmett and Erma (nee Kirby) Bennett.  He graduated from Rankin High School; Class of 1959.  He continued his education at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago.  Larry was united in marriage to Anita Jo Huffman on June 17, 1962; they spent 55 loving years dedicated to each other as husband and wife. In 1983, Larry founded Premiere Video in Livonia which was a video duplication and distribution company for the movie industry.  He was a wonderful employer; Larry was very kind to his employees and in return they were incredibly loyal.  He remained close friends with many of them following his retirement in 2004.  Larry was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Northville, where he sang in the choir and served as a Deacon.  He was an avid golfer; he followed his passion with a membership at Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville and Eagle Marsh Country Club in Jensen Beach, Florida.  Larry enjoyed listening to music and playing the organ.  He was very handy; he liked to tinker and was capable of fixing anything.  Larry loved his family and cherished the time they spent together.  He was very proud of his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Anita J. Bennett; his children, Michelle (Thomas) McNamara, Melanie (Daryl) Green, and Marc (Jennifer) Bennett; his grandchildren, Cameron, Kristen, Matthew, Madison, Bryce, Jacob, Joseph, Julia, and James; and his great grandchild, Sawyer.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 30, 2017 from Noon – 6:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  The Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Main St., Northville.  Mr. Bennett will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
