Esther Corinne Osborn

Esther C. Osborn, age 101, a longtime resident of Northville passed away August 5, 2017. She was born April 21, 1916 in Colbert County, Alabama; daughter of Gilbert and Sarah (nee Romans) Osborn. She worked for many years at the D&C Dime Store in Northville. Esther was a very private person who liked cooking. She made delicious apple pies and lasagna. She also enjoyed painting. Esther loved spending time with her family and going shopping with friends. She is survived by 15 nieces, 9 nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, M. Pauline Stanford, Nancy Gist, Ethel Osborn, Gilberta VanValkenburgh, Clayton Jacqueline Reed, and Hazel Garafalo; and her brothers, Herbert Osborn and W.J. Osborn. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 10am until Noon with a memorial service beginning at Noon at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Pastor Ray Maurer will officiate the service. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Old Brick Cemetery and Church, 260 Mt. Pleasant Road, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661.
