Thomas J. Sanderson

Thomas J. Sanderson Thomas J. Sanderson, age 71, of Novi, passed away on August 24, 2017.  He was born August 26, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Robert W. and Maxine (nee Flanagan) Sanderson.    He graduated in 1968 from U of D with a Bachelor of Science where he majored in Accounting.    Thomas was united in marriage to Kathryn Nowak on September 12, 1969; they spent 47 years as husband and wife. Thomas proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Signal Corps where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his work as a Computer Specialist and as an ADP Project Officer.  He worked as a Systems Analyst with Ford Motor Company retiring after 30 years. Thomas was a car fanatic; he enjoyed working on cars and maintaining them.  He continued his love of cars as a member of the pit crew for the Waterford Racing Team.  He had a wonderful collection of model and replica cars.  Thomas was an avid bowler; he enjoyed bowling with his son at Catholic Central and with the Ford Bowling League. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Scott Sanderson and Sharyn (Terry) Perrone; his brother, Robert (Ann) Sanderson; his niece, Jennifer Sanderson; and his nephew, Robert Sanderson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Rebecca Sanderson. Visitation will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., instate beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Dr., Northville.
