Diane Alice Much, age 77, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away October 4, 2017. She was born November 12, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of William and Mary (nee Fehir) DeRomedi. Diane married her high school sweetheart William O. Much on August 12, 1961; they spent 56 years devoted to one another. Diane worked as an Executive Secretary until she was 25. She then began her favorite career, being a mother. Diane was a devoted homemaker and loved her family with no expect for reward. She loved knowing she wouldn't always get the same love back. She was generous, loving, caring, and optimistic. Some would say her ethereal kindness was a trait from her mother, whether Mrs. Mary DeRomedi inspired it or not, it is a unique quality that will never be matched or replaced. Diane enjoyed fine arts, as well as crafting and painting. She liked to dance and was a member of a German dance club. Diane was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor for 12 years and a former member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Northville. Diane is survived by her loving husband William O. Much; her children, Mandy Much and Noel Much; her siblings, William (Irmi) DeRomedi and Mary Ann Brinkman; and her grandchildren, Angus Much and Rachel Much. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Huron Valley Humane Society, 3100 Cherry Hill Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
