Robert J. DeBoutte, Sr., age 80, of Northville, passed away on October 17, 2017. He was born January 8, 1937 in Huntley, Montana; son of George and Clementine Deboutte. He graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia and soon after joined the Army. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army. In 1963 he met Lorraine Funke Wallace while she was waitressing at Bohls Restaurant in Northville. On April 26, 1965 they were married; they spent over 52 loving years together as husband and wife. Bob worked as a machinist at MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions for over 20 years; he retired in 2013 at the age of 76. He was a very hard worker who always took care of his family. Bob was a car fanatic and took pride in his 1958 Pontiac that only has 32000 miles. He also enjoyed racing hot-rods and watching NASCAR. Bob liked to take care of his garden and loved to go fishing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 147 in Northville. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children, Jimmy (Teresa) Wallace, Johnny (Debbie) Wallace, Carol (Jerry) Cronk, and Bobby DeBoutte, Jr.; his sisters, Mary Kocian and Ginny “Stinko” Macko; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother Al Deboutte. Visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 from 5-8pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Deacon Ric Misiak from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church will officiate the service. He will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery where military honors will be rendered.
