Bill D. King Bill D. King, age 83, of Redford Township, passed away on November 16, 2017. He was born on September 18, 1934; son of Leroy and Lulu (nee Miller) King. He was united in marriage to Gail A. Waterman on September 29, 1956; they spent 61 years devoted to one another as husband and wife. Bill worked as a Master Electrician for over 40 years and was the owner of Bill King Electric Service. He had a very strong faith; Bill attended services regularly at Bethel Baptist Temple in Livonia and knew the Bible inside and out. He was an incredibly hard worker and was very intelligent; he was good with his hands and could figure out how to fix anything. Bill was very mechanically inclined; he liked to tinker and build things as well as do woodworking projects. He often enlisted family to help with his projects, including his vegetable garden. Bill was an avid deer hunter. He collected antique tractors that he enjoyed driving, and also liked hot rod cars. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Gail A. King; his children, Linda (Terry) Johnson and Doug (Dieanna) King; his siblings, Lee (Kathy) King, Audrey Lewis, and Larry (Janet) King; his grandchildren, Andy (Jessica) Johnson, Dana Johnson, Kayla King, and Daniel King; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Carter, Wyatt, and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents. The visitation will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. Pastor Richard Smith from Bethel Baptist Temple in Livonia will officiate the service. Mr. King will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
