Giuliano M. Zuccato, age 85, of Farmington Hills, MI passed away on December 14, 2017. He was born on July 14, 1932 in Bannia, Italy; son of Mario and Velia (Vaccher) Zuccato. He was devoted to family and is survived by his loving children Marisa (David) Bruhn and Marc (Elisha) Zuccato; his cherished grandchildren Julianna Zuccato, Kristina Volgenau, Eric Volgenau, Zoë Zuccato and Mia Zuccato; his dear siblings Domenic (Lidia) Zuccato and his sister Severina (Luigi) Pilon. Giuliano was best known for his strong character, dynamic personality and passion for life. He lived life to the fullest, making the most of each day. He enjoyed travel especially to his home country of Italy. Giuliano had a love for music, dance, and the arts and was a talented sculptor. He often hosted cultural events in his home, donating the proceeds to charity. Giuliano had a career as a Design Modeler for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years where he achieved much success and was part of the original design team that created a world icon, the Ford Mustang, in 1964. He was also responsible for many patents stemming from his development of new technologies. After retiring from Ford, he founded his own company “Concepts International” continuing his work in the automotive industry worldwide. He was well known in many circles as “The Mustang Man” after he began public speaking to inspire others with his life story. He experienced significant challenges during his lifetime and spoke about “Overcoming Obstacles and the Creation of a World Icon”. In 2017, Giuliano established the “Horse of Destiny” foundation. The monies from this foundation go toward reviving and rebuilding the spirit of individuals experiencing physical or emotional pain. Giuliano left a strong legacy and lasting mark on the world around him. He was inspired and respected by those who knew him. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. The Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday December 16th and Sunday December 17th from 12pm-3pm, with a memorial service at 3pm Sunday the 17th.
