Terry R. Shurmur

Terry R. Shurmur, age 70, of Howell, formerly of Georgia, passed away on December 29, 2017. He was born November 6, 1947 in Dearborn, Michigan; son of Raymond and Margaret (nee Anslem) Shurmur. He grew up in Dearborn where he graduated from Edsel Ford High School; Class of 1966.  He continued his education at Western Michigan University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Engineering.  Terry was united in marriage to Ann R. Snow on March 10, 1995; they spent 22 years devoted to each other as husband and wife. Terry worked as an engineer with Shaw Industries; he retired in 2010.  A proud member of the NRA; he enjoyed target shooting.  He was a huge fan of NASCAR and always watched the races.  Terry loved spending time with his family and especially adored his grandchildren. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Ann R. Shurmur; his children, Joseph Shurmur and Nichelle (Jason) Chumbler; his step-daughter, Rhonda (Steven) DeLuca; his siblings, Robert (Tayna) Shurmur and Joyce McCasland; and his grandchildren, Eric, Tiffany, Meagan, Steven, and Nicholas.  He was preceded in death by his parents. A time of gathering will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.
