Katherine Davis

Katherine Davis, age 93, of Dearborn, passed away on January 27, 2018. She was born October 8, 1924 in Stockdale, Pennsylvania; daughter of Mark and Mary (nee Pavlick) Bertovich. Katherine was united in marriage to David Davis on November 14, 1953; they spent 8 loving years together until his death in 1962. Katherine worked in Assembly and Maintenance for Ford Motor Company at the Wixom Plant for 35 years. A member of the UAW, she was very proud of her work. Katherine was an incredibly hard worker and a wonderful provider. Affectionately called “Rocky” by her family and friends, Katherine was a very tough lady. She enjoyed completing newspaper word puzzles and cooking; she made delicious stuffed cabbage. The most important thing in her life was her family, Katherine dearly loved them all.  She is survived by her loving children, Mary Rubus, JoAnn (Theodore) Kletzka, and Robert (Kathleen) McKinley; and her granddaughter Cheryl (Jeffery) Oz. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Vern Davis, her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her son-in-law Andrew Rubus.                      Private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to the charity of the givers choice.
