Sandra J. Curry, age 78, of Northville, passed away on February 3, 2018. She was born April 19, 1939 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; daughter of Joseph and Isabelle (nee Slaney) Corriveau. Sandra was united in marriage to Thomas J. Curry on May 14, 1960; dedicated to each other for over 57 years. Sandra was a 1957 graduate of Cooley High School in Detroit and later attended Schoolcraft College. She began a career at her father’s Tool and Die Company, Corr Instruments and then chose a career as a Bank Teller at NBD Bank in Livonia. Sandra was an incredible baker; her husband’s favorite baked good was her black magic cake. Her family also loved when she made pies that paired well with her homemade whip cream. Sandra was also a terrific cook who mastered making the perfect prime rib. She was a wonderful seamstress who liked making all types of clothing. Sandra enjoyed antique hunting and traveling with Tom. She adored her cats Izzy and Buddy. Sandra was an amazing wife with a great sense of humor. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas; her daughter Denise (Mike) Glod; her brother Richard (Dorothy) Corriveau; her grandchildren, Michael, Mathieu, and Katie; and her nieces and nephews, Joseph (Melissa) Corriveau, Marc (Wendy) Corriveau, Matthew (Stephanie) Corriveau, Melissa (Erik) Sullivan, and Lani (Mike) Liedtke. She was also loved by many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-brother Ralph Parker, and her step-sister Dorothy Parker. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4pm until 6pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 6pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Deacon Ric Misiak with Our Lady of Victory will officiate the service.
