Virginia Rita Smith

SMITH, Virginia Rita Esslin December 28, 1920 – March 30, 2018 passed peacefully in her sleep at the beloved home which she and her late husband, Cliff, built for themselves upon their marriage in 1941. Their 65 years of marriage were highlighted by travel, running their custom building business, and enjoying their family. Virginia was one of seven children of Conrad and Elva Durocher Esslin. She enjoyed crafts, hosting parties, playing cards, but her greatest joy was her flowers gardens, earning the Northville Garden Clubs “Garden of the Month”. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She is survived by her two sons, Clifford, Jr. (Linda) and Steven; grandchildren, Matthew (Angela), Andrew, Gregory (Susan), Margaret, Benjamin, Danielle, and Dominique; 6 great grandchildren; and innumerable nieces and nephews. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
