Lilly V. Snyder

Lilly V. Snyder, age 95, a longtime resident of Plymouth, passed away April 22, 2018. She was born on April 10, 1923; in Plymouth, Michigan daughter of Ernest and Thyra (nee Nilsson) Wickstrom. She graduated from Plymouth High School; Class of 1940.  Lilly was united in marriage to Orrin Snyder on January 31, 1941; they spent 30 loving years together until his death in 1971. Lilly worked as a secretary at Bathey Manufacturing in Plymouth, retiring after 25 years with the company.  She was a member of the Swedish Club.  Lilly loved to travel; she visited places all over the world including Europe, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia.  She enjoyed doing needlework and knitting.  Lilly was a wonderful cook and baker.  Lilly is survived by her loving daughter Marcia (Frank Philliben) Dawson; and her granddaughter Kristen Dawson.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Private family services were held.  Mrs. Snyder was laid to rest next to her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 20450 Civic Center Dr., Southfield, MI 48076.
