Tony M. Silvestri

Antonio “Tony” Silvestri Jr., age 55 of Northville, passed away May 12, 2018.  He was born May 23, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Antonio and Anna (nee Mancini) Silvestri. Tony proudly served in the Army National Guard in 1983. Tony owned and operated Northville Interiors, a construction company since 1990. Before becoming self employed he worked as a test engineer with Ford Motor Company. Tony was very talented at his job and was also very savvy with design work. He was a hard worker and a strong handy man. Tony enjoyed volunteering in the at the Village Work Shop providing valuable lessons in woodworking and volunteering at the Mill Race Village helping restore the buildings. When he was younger he built and raced cars; this demonstrated the beginning of his creative mind. Tony was a loving and   helpful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his mother Anna Silvestri; his brothers, Joe (Josephine) Silvestri and Philip (Carrie) Silvestri; his nieces, Florianne (Kyle Martin) Silvestri and Sabrina Silvestri; and his nephew Joey Silvestri. He was preceded in death by his father Antonio Silvestri. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11am at our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville. Father Denis Theroux will officiate the service. Tony will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens following Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville, Michigan 48167.
